AutoDark ("we," "our," or "the App") understands the importance of your privacy. Built as an indie Safari Web Extension, we designed AutoDark from the ground up with a strict "privacy-by-design" philosophy.

This Privacy Policy transparently explains how AutoDark operates, why it requires specific system permissions, and our absolute commitment to protecting your data.

1. What Data Do We Collect?

Short answer: Nothing. AutoDark does NOT collect, store, track, or transmit any of your personal information, browsing history, search queries, form inputs (such as passwords), or any other web content to any external servers.

2. Why Does AutoDark Need Permission to "Read and Alter Webpages"?

When you enable AutoDark in Safari, the system will warn you that the extension requires access to read and alter the websites you visit. This permission is strictly necessary for the technical functionality of the dark mode:

3. Your Settings and iCloud Sync

AutoDark saves your configuration preferences (e.g., custom themes, site-specific rules) locally on your device. If you enable "iCloud Sync" in the App, these settings are synced securely via Apple's official CloudKit service to your personal iCloud account so you can use them across your other Apple devices. We (the developers) have absolutely zero access to your iCloud data or your preference files.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking

This App does not contain any third-party SDKs, advertisement trackers, or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). There is no hidden tracking.
